Kefalos is a town located in the western part of the island of Kos. It is located on a hill, from which there is an impressive view of the sea and a small island. The most interesting places to visit are: the ruins of the old fortress, the ancient palace, the Ayos Stefanos basilica, Ayiosa Loannis Monastery (Thimianosy) located on the aforementioned island. This islet is located near the shore and you can quickly reach it by, for example by boat. Nearby there are also more active attractions, such as the cave at Aspri Petra, Mikro Limanaki beach and Camel Beach. You cannot hide that Kefalos is another perfect place for surfers and windsurfers. There is a surfing center here, which can be used not only by experienced surfers, but also by beginners. Restaurants extend along the wide embankment. Consuming meals in one of them is a real delectation not only for the palate but also for the eyes.
