Wroclaw is rightly called a meeting city! Every year there are more tourist attractions and more and more tourists from around the world come here. Residents of the city, thanks to its history are tolerant and open. One day is not enough to fully take advantage of the most interesting attractions of Wroclaw. There are more and more forms of visiting it. Famous places can be reached by bike, cart, tourist tram, and even an electric scooter. In the city you will find numerous monuments, including the National Museum, Old Town Hall, Hala Stulecia, Panorama Racławicka, Main Railway Station and Wroclaw Opera. More information about Wroclaw monuments can be found at: https://visitwroclaw.eu/miejsca/zabytki. It is worth mentioning that Wroclaw during the World War II was a safe city in which normal life went on until 1945. It was then that Russian troops entered Wroclaw as a consequence of which it was destroyed. If not for these events today, the city would delight even more with its beautiful buildings. Getting to know and better understanding the history of Wroclaw is helped by a trip by a special historic tram with the guide on board. Moving the streets of cities we learn about their past and begin to understand the present. The tram leaves from Teatralny Square from mid-June, and the cost of such a ride is 3.20 PLN per adult. On Saturdays, an extremely attractive historic tram with wooden seats starts its route from the same place. After the ride, stretch your bones and go to the Cathedral of St. Magdalena, in which the vantage point is located, called the “witches’ bridge”. Climbing initially harmless at some stage can become a nuisance for people who are afraid of heights. In the middle of the road metal stairs begin, through which we see what path we have already traveled. Looking down, we can get the impression that we are falling. Fortunately, on several floors there are parking spaces with interesting stories to read. At the very top there is a narrow bridge with a witch figure on the railing and most importantly the view from here on the city is magnificent.

Undoubtedly, Wroclaw Zoo in the ZOO, which quickly became famous in the world, enjoys great interest. The African world will delight not only children, but also adults. It is therefore a great alternative for families with children. The property has hippos, crocodiles, various species of African fish and rays. This is the first oceanarium in the world dedicated to the fauna of only one continent, namely Africa. And most importantly, Africarium was announced the fourth wonder of the world among zoos exhibitions around the world. Visiting the ZOO area and the Africarium itself is possible from 9:00 to 18:00, while buying a ticket and entering the property only until 17:00. The zoo was established on July 10, 1865 and is the oldest institution of this type in Poland. The ZOO has reasons to be proud, because it has the richest collection of reptiles and amphibians in Europe. It is worth mentioning that the Wroclaw Zoo is involved in programs for the protection of endangered species and legally acquires animals.

Another must-visit point is Ostrów Tumski. It is here that we meet the lighthouse keeper, who has become another unique symbol of Wroclaw. We can meet him just before dark. Dressed in a black cape and hat, he holds a 2.5-meter magic wand in his hands, which he lights and puts out the lanterns in Ostrów Tumski every day. As soon as the lighthouse keeper appears at the cathedral near him curious tourists gather, wanting to capture the whole ritual in photography. It doesn’t seem like the trips following him almost disturb him in his work.

At the peak of the season, there is no shortage of attractions for movie fans. In July and August, free film screenings in the open air take place in the city. Most places are limited, and booking is carried out, for example, on Facebook. Events for film fans are organized at weekends on the roof of the Museum of Modern Art, on the Renoma Roof, on Słodowa Island, in the center of Zajezdnia History, on Wroclaw housing estates, or on the Market Square itself.
